Outside the Box – Nicole Kelly
As we celebrate our 10th anniversary, RSI students and staff are looking forward to another great year of learning and leading together! Students were welcomed back to school this week in a couple of different ways. Preschool students were welcomed back to campus on Tuesday. New Covid-19 procedures were put in place to keep our community safe. This includes the new drop-off and pick-up procedure, extensive cleaning procedures, and utilizing individual play stations for students. Students were happy to see their friends and teachers after their summer vacations. Elementary and middle school students kicked off the first day with a Zoom assembly as staff geared up for their first day of virtual learning. This is the first time quarter 1 will be all online for our elementary students. It is a unique experience, but it has been so wonderful to see how our teachers and students adapt to change. Students decorated space at home and turned their desks into conducive learning environments. Teachers put a lot of effort into creating individual packets for students so they can show up to class every day excited and ready to learn. We look forward to seeing how this unique situation will foster creativity and growth in our students and staff.
