Outside the Box – Nicole Kelly
We are back for summer! Students and staff were excited to return to campus this week to kick off a summer of language and learning! This year’s summer camp theme is “Creating a Future Through Imagination”. Students will use their imaginations to become visionaries for a bright future. When there is no chance to fail, students are encouraged to dream up ideas and stories with endless possibilities! Our immersive camp will focus on language development and exposure in Mandarin, Spanish, and English. RSIOC’s trilingual language immersion camp will introduce students to foreign languages and cultures in Mandarin, Spanish, and English.
Summer camp is a great time for continuing students to develop their language skills as they work towards the mastery of languages and various subjects. New students use this time to become familiar with Mandarin, Spanish, and English languages in a relaxed environment. Conversation is key in summer camp. Summer camp teachers focus on teaching through games and basic conversation to help students better grasp the beginning concepts and basic phrases in different languages.
We are looking forward to a summer of creativity and imagination!
