Outside the Box – Nicole Kelly
RSI prepares students for the international marketplace by giving them the tools to be strong leaders. As a part of RSI’s Leadership Program, students participate in Toastmasters International Youth Leadership Program.
This year, a handful of upper elementary and middle school students participated in the 8-week Youth Leadership Program where they met weekly with other local students around the same age. During their weekly meetings, students learned to become more effective communicators and strengthened their leadership skills. They also gained experience networking with others before and after meetings. Toastmasters empowers students’ personal growth through positive learning experiences.
RSI students impressed the class with their public speaking skills. Over the course, they refined and improved their public speaking skills by giving speeches and presentations. It was amazing to see how our students have grown with confidence when speaking about any topic. We are very proud of the students who participated in this program and are very impressed by their ability to formulate speeches when put on the spot.
