Outside the Box – Nicole Kelly

Renascence School International’s emphasis on personal development helps to develop the child as a whole. Through RSI’s Leadership programs like Leader in Me and the Renascence Way, students are empowered to take charge of themselves as well as hold each other accountable. Students are given opportunities throughout the day to display their leadership skills whether on the playground or inside the classroom. Our leadership program works to develops students’ self-confidence, teaches responsibility and helps students find their voice.

The Renascence Way is a leadership program that is being integrated school-wide across the Renascence School International campus. It focuses on creating student leaders inside and outside the classroom. A few years ago, RSI introduced students and staff to the Leader in Me program that focused on the seven habits of successful people and happy children. Building on these principles, The Renascence Way was introduced to empower our students to lead themselves so they can lead others. Implementing positive behavior structures not only celebrates our students’ success’, but also adds structure to RSI’s strong Language and Learning components. RSI students and staff are united with one mission and mindset of positive behavior that strengthens our culture and fosters an environment for developing global leaders. The RSI campus is decorated with signage across campus as visual reminders to LEAD.

The Renascence Way develops foundational characteristics that build a lifetime of good habits which are advantageous at every life stage. We are so proud of our students for being leaders and caring global citizens!
