Outside the Box – Ashley Bleeker

Last week, RSI students and faculty participated in the Great Shakeout Earthquake Drill. This drill includes communities from around the world to practice earthquake preparedness at 10:20 their local time. Preschool students, through High school students did an excellent job of practicing for a seismic event. They displayed excellent knowledge of how to “drop, cover, and hold on” procedure well! They remained calm and patient as they waited for the “earthquake” to pass. Staff then lea students outside, calmly and safely, showing that they are prepared in case of an emergency. We are grateful for the opportunity to join the global community the Great Shakeout this year!
