Outside the Box – Nicole Kelly
Last week teachers were showered in love, gifts, and sweet treats from students and families for Teacher Appreciation Week. RSI teachers and staff have worked tirelessly throughout the year to make sure students were still receiving a good education despite the setbacks of Covid. Teachers jumped many hurdles while navigating new systems and platforms. They showed grit, compassion, and creativity through their innovative lessons to make sure learning stayed fun and students were engaged to keep them on track. They showed their care and dedication to their craft by going above and beyond to communicate with parents, students, and other staff. Everything our teachers do is for the betterment of our students, not just to educate students, but to shape them into caring individuals and strong leaders. We are very thankful to have such a loving, dedicated, and caring staff.
We love our teachers because…
“They help us learn lots of stuff so we can do good work.” – Belle
“They’re nice, even when we are loud.” – Juliette
“They’re kind.” – Julian
“When something goes wrong, they figure out ways to fix it.” -Nikki
“They help us learn and be smarter.” – Evelynn
“They help us learn. We learn history and they help us get better at stuff. And teach us to be a leader.” – Ayan
Thank you so much to all the parents and families who reached out to teachers and staff, and a HUGE thank you to all of our hard-working teachers and staff. We are so grateful to have such wonderful leaders who empower and encourage our students each and every day. Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!
