Outside the Box – Nicole Kelly

RSI preschool teachers take learning outside of the classroom with various activities. L4 Spanish took their lesson outside for a change of pace and scenery. Students participated in a scavenger hunt where they were able to explore the campus and look for clues. Preschool students used their crafty handmade binoculars to look for hidden clues around the school. Each clue had a secret message they needed to decode by solving the clue and answering questions in Spanish. Preschool students worked together to find the “hidden treasure.” At the end of their treasure hunt, they found the Pirate’s Booty! What a fun activity to reinforce Spanish vocabulary and gave students a new experience using Spanish outside of their classroom.
