Outside the Box – Nicole Kelly
RSI students explore the world of science in RSI’s Trilingual Summer Camp. During Academic Workshop, elementary students conducted various experiments to test their knowledge of physics. Through critical thinking, communication and collaboration, students decided they would be able to create a battery-operated lightbulb with only a few materials.
Since energy can be transferred from place to place by electrical currents, students hypothesized then observed what when a copper wire touches a battery the electrical current will light up the light bulb.
