Outside the Box – Nicole Kelly

RSI students and staff took time to “Sharpen the Saw” over spring break. A part of being a leader also means taking time out of your busy schedule and routine to do something for yourself. Taking a break from work and school allows us to feel our best by being balanced. Over the two-week Spring Break, students and staff put the 7th Habit into practice and found renewed energy by Sharpening the Saw in different ways. From taking road trips, camping, visiting friends and family, and getting outdoors, families found ways to recharge and revitalize. It was so wonderful to see everyone back on campus with renewed energy! Sharpen the Saw keeps you fresh so you can continue to practice the other six habits. You increase your capacity to produce and handle the challenges around you. Without this renewal, the body becomes weak, the mind mechanical, the emotions raw, the spirit insensitive, and the person selfish. Don’t forget to keep practicing the 7 Habits in your daily lives!
