Safe Return to Campus for the New School Year
At Renascence School International, teachers and administration took time to impose new policies to ensure a safe homecoming for students and teachers as we returned to campus for a new school year. Policies put in place create a clean and friendly environment for our students and faculty.
What does this look like for the beginning of the 2021 school year? Elementary, Middle School, and High School students utilize a drop-off loop in the mornings and a pick-up loop in the afternoons to help minimize the number of visitors preventing congestion on campus during busy times. This year, instead of rotating classes for each subject like Chinese and Spanish, students will remain in the same classroom all day as their trilingual language teachers rotate through the classrooms. Students remain at their same desks throughout the day with their own materials to minimize the transfer of germs. In our preschool classes, students have individual play trays and materials as well. Toys, tables, and countertops are cleaned throughout the day along with frequently touched surfaces.
Students are separated for lunch and recess times to limit mingling between classes, and they wear masks while inside. RSI classrooms are kept clean throughout the day and have optimal ventilation. We are thrilled to have our students back on campus and we are doing our best to ensure everyone’s safety.
