Outside the Box – Carrie Mizera and Nicole Kelly
At Renascence School International, our goal is for students to be business proficient in Mandarin and Spanish by the time they graduate from high school. This Spring, middle school students took the Stamp 4S language proficiency assessment. It was the first time any RSI student took a standardized assessment as a test run with no expectation of earning an award. We are proud that most of the RSI students who tested surprisingly have reached the benchmark set by the Global Seal of Biliteracy. These students earned the functional fluency award in Spanish and are very close to reaching the benchmark for Chinese. The Global Seal of Biliteracy is an international credential that conveys proficiency with language skills in two or more languages for our students. RSI students are on the way to earning many more Global Seals of Biliteracy in the years to come. Congratulations on a job well done!
