Outside the Box – Christy Johnson & Nicole Kelly
Being of service to others is a staple part of RSI culture and lifestyle. There is no shortage of ways to give back. The Renascence School is eager to help those in our community. RSI hosted a food drive to gather items for a local non-profit, Project Hope Alliance. Using car drop-off and social distancing, the RSI families turned out in support! Project Hope Alliance serves homeless children in Orange County and is located in Costa Mesa. Thank you to those who donated items to help end the cycle of homelessness, one child at a time!
Project Hope Alliance: The mission of Project Hope Alliance (PHA) is to end the cycle of homelessness, one child at a time. Lack of housing negatively affects a child’s performance in school, their health, their self-confidence, and their emotional and behavioral health and well-being – leading today’s children experiencing homelessness to become homeless tomorrow. Ourinterventions break this progression by addressing the root cause of the inequity. We provide children and youth intensive support throughout their education that meets their individual academic and psychosocial needs and rapidly re-house their families into safe, stable and permanent homes. Our programs create permanent change.
