Outside the Box – Ashley Bleeker
As a school, we mark each month with a time of celebration and connection at our assemblies. We believe in celebrating the greatness in each other, whether it is by winning a significant award, or recognizing the incredible kindness shown to those around you. One simple, yet significant way we do this, is by recognizing a Leader of the Month from each class. These students are nominated by teachers based on criteria separate from their grades or academic performance. These are students who have gone above and beyond to lead by example. To us, greatness is not just success and achievement, it is the character we live each day with. We aim to create a regular space to cultivate a culture of celebration. The RSI community will sing happy birthday to students who turned a year older that month! We believe that these times are significant and provide a special way to build community.
