Winter Performances and Holiday Party at RSIOC!

Outside the Box – Christy Johnson

The Renascence School International Winter Performances were fantastic! The C9 students were the MC’s for the event. There were individual performances on the piano, harp, and violin and classes performed songs in Chinese, Spanish, and English.

The Enrichment classes had special performances as well. Strategic Magic students auditioned for a chance to perform their magic tricks and audience volunteers were invited to join in on the fun! The Chinese Dance class has been working on a special routine for this recital. The girls did a wonderful job performing a traditional Chinese folk dance!

Following the performances, RSIOC families enjoyed good food and fun activities at the Holiday Party. Some of the fun activities that the parents and children enjoyed were cookie decorating and making ornaments and other crafts. The kids enjoyed bouncy houses and face painting. Volunteer parents set up a photo booth with holiday themed props for memorable photo opportunities!

Fun games got the competition heating up as kids wrapped their parents in toilet paper to make snowmen and children dressed up as Santa Claus for Santa sac races! Team relay games promoted team-building fun!

The winners of the class Christmas tree decorating contest were announced at the event and the C6 class won with their Paris themed tree! To top it all off, there was a special appearance by Santa Claus. What a special time to bring together families and staff of the Renascence School International during the holiday season!
