Renascence School C8 class tackles the game of chess

RSI C8 students thoroughly enjoyed their time in chess class. Research shows that playing chess develops brain function. There are countless studies showing the many benefits ranging from helping to prevent dementia and Alzheimers,to raising IQ in kids. It improves spatial skills in children as well as problem solving skills and memory. Playing chess requires usage of both sides of there brain therefore not only does it increase creativity, but also improves concentration in kids. Oh!  Did I forget to mention that it is also fun?
