Ecuador Summer 2014 – Part 1

The Renascence School International is excited to announce part one in a series of posts presented over the next few months in preparation for Ecuador Summer 2014: A Family Adventure

The Renascence School International’s trip to Ecuador is still in the planning phase and hopes to have registration open by the end of December. In anticipation of more to come, here is a sneak peak at what you will experience on this incredible journey.


-A visit to Cotopaxi and a guided tour of the highest active volcano on earth.

-Spending a morning attending school with Ecuadorian children, taught in Spanish.

-Art lessons taught by two Ecuadorian artists.

-Visits to outstanding art museums in Quito, and a cocktail reception at one of the most famous museums.

-Guided tour of the Legislative Assembly in Ecuador and a visit to the Chinese embassy, meeting with the Chinese Ambassador.

-Guided tour of the world-famous church La Compania and changing of the guard at the Presidential Palace.

-Attending a native dance exhibition.

-Reception at Ecuador’s premier language institute, with presentation by a former president of Ecuador

-Visiting the famous hot springs at Papallacta, with optional activites including horseback riding, fishing, or hiking.

-Optional extension at the end of the trip to the fabulous Galapagos Islands, known for their fascinating wildlife.

There will also be several hours of free time each day to explore the city on your own!
