Blooming with Kindness

Outside the Box – Christy Johnson and Nicole Kelly

RSI students are cultivating a culture of kindness by participating in the Kindness Challenge. Each day students were challenged to participate in various acts of kindness. Whether it was exchanging a passing smile, high-fiving classmates, or giving their teacher a compliment, students were lighting up the campus with kindness. Students were also challenged to take the acts of kindness to their community, either by picking up trash or donating items to local food pantries.

Students also came up with their own acts of kindness – like being kind to the environment, being a good sport when playing with others, being a good friend, and being kind to their teachers by working diligently in class. Students created unique posters to capture their idea of kindness. Renascence School International is proud of its students for having a spectacular week! Read More

RSI staff enjoying their time together

Outside the Box – Christy Johnson

Each January, Renascence School International has a staff development day for training. The usual agenda is a half day meeting accompanied by a luncheon off site. As students enjoy their last day of winter break, teachers and staff have an opportunity to reconnect after the holidays and mentally prepare before school begins.
The chosen luncheon venue this year was the Yard House. In the spirit of giving, a white elephant gift exchange after lunch always brings smiles and laughter, and is a great way to end the day together. Read More

Costa Mesa Fire Department visits RSI Pre-K

Outside the Box – Christy Johnson

RSI Pre-K students enjoyed a special surprise before the holidays! The Costa Mesa Fire Department visited the campus preschool students. Students were very excited to see the firemen and their firetruck. They learned all about the equipment and special features used to fight fires. Students used their tri-lingual skills to impress the firefighters – naming various objects like “ladder” and “hose” in Spanish and Chinese! Thank you to our first responders. It is a safer world because of you! Read More
