RSI students honor their Grandparents and Veterans

Outside the Box – Christy Johnson
Smiles, laughter and love at RSI on Veteran’s Day! Grandparents were invited to join students at school Monday! Grandparents arrived to a warm welcome and refreshments. This was followed by time spent in the classroom with students. They enjoyed helping their students do crafts, listening to their students read grandparent-themed poems, and watching the students sing and dance. RSI served delicious food, and set aside a special time to honor military veterans.  The children had a wonderful time looking through books and shopping with their grandparents at the Scholastic Book Fair! Special memories on Veteran’s Day with RSI Grandparents!

Outside the Box – Christy Johnson
Much love was shared at RSI on Veteran’s Day! Grandparents were given the opportunity to spend time at school with students! They shared some of their everyday classroom experiences. Some students performed skits and others stood in front of the class, reciting things they have learned this year in school. Students also did arts and crafts together with their grandparents! There was a special musical performance, delicious food, and a time to honor our military veterans.  The children had a wonderful time looking through books and shopping with their grandparents at the Scholastic Book Fair! A big thank you to Mark Koch for capturing so many of these beautiful moments on camera! Read More

Grandparent’s Day – fun in the classroom

Outside the Box – Christy Johnson

Grandparents of Renascence School International students were treated to a breakfast and a memorable time spent with their grandchildren at school on Veteran’s Day. RSI also recognized the contribution and sacrifice of it’s veterans. A second grader played the national anthem on the violin as the veterans stood for recognition and appreciation. Grandparents spent some time in the classroom as well as outside doing crafts with their grandchildren. Thank you to all of the grandparents that were able to come and make special memories for everyone at RSI!
