As part of this development, there is one special day each year where students are encouraged to dress in traditional costume representing their native culture or heritage. RSI spreading holiday cheer from around the world!

The Renascence School International has a tradition of students and teachers decorating Christmas trees for their classroom. However, RSI decorates with a twist! Each class picks a country and decorates their tree in the theme of that country.The students also learn about the culture, history, customs and food of that country. Many of the countries are related to the family history of the students, and parents enjoy contributing to this festive class project. Read More

A Chinese culinary experience at RSI

The L70 students have been learning new vocabulary words related to cuisine in Chinese class. As you can imagine, this had the students working up quite an appetite for Chinese cuisine! As a reward after completing Q1 Assessments, the teacher arranged for the students to cook several popular Chinese dishes. The kids enjoyed the whole experience, preparing, cooking and eating! They were able to experience the color(色), fragrance(香) and taste (味) of the the dishes, immersing in an enjoyable Chinese culinary experience! Read More

A Mayflower Presentation

In preparation for Thanksgiving, RSI students enjoyed a presentation by the Mayflower Society. One of the RSI students is a direct descendent of the Mayflower voyagers and her grandmother is a member of the Mayflower Society. Dressed in period attire, the two presenters discussed the struggles, challenges, and victories of being part of the Mayflower voyage. The students enjoyed getting to look at model replicas of the Mayflower ship.
