RSI Celebrates Dia de los Muertos!

Students at the Renascence School International celebrated a Latin holiday, Dia De Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) on November 1st. The students learned that this is not a time to fear, but a time of remembrance for the generations before us and for those who are no longer with us.
There are four things that the Latin culture uses to remember their loved ones: Foto (photo), Vela (candle), Flor (flower) and Altar (altar). Some teachers had an ofrenda memorial set up in their classrooms and students enjoyed a variety of crafts based around this special holiday! Read More

Costumes and treats, laughter and sweets!

What a fun time last week at the Renascence School International! On Halloween, students came to school dressed up for the annual RSI Costume Day and participated in all of the fun activities. A big thank you to all the parents who brought in goodies, decorations, and dressed up to make this event so much fun for the kids! The next day during Spanish class, students and teachers celebrated Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). This is a  lively Latin American holiday to celebrate the lives of the deceased. Read More
