Blooming with Kindness

Outside the Box – Christy Johnson and Nicole Kelly

RSI students are cultivating a culture of kindness by participating in the Kindness Challenge. Each day students were challenged to participate in various acts of kindness. Whether it was exchanging a passing smile, high-fiving classmates, or giving their teacher a compliment, students were lighting up the campus with kindness. Students were also challenged to take the acts of kindness to their community, either by picking up trash or donating items to local food pantries.

Students also came up with their own acts of kindness – like being kind to the environment, being a good sport when playing with others, being a good friend, and being kind to their teachers by working diligently in class. Students created unique posters to capture their idea of kindness. Renascence School International is proud of its students for having a spectacular week! Read More

RSI December Elementary Assembly

Outside the Box – Denny Reed / Christy Johnson

RSI had another successful elementary assembly! It is incredible to see our students come together to celebrate the greatness in one another. Our very own Ms. Kelly was able to share with the students that she accomplished her WIG (Wildly Important Goal) of completing a duathlon!

We are very proud of Ms. Kelly for setting a goal and achieving it. Each one of our elementary students will begin to map out their WIG beginning the new semester 2020! Read More

Let’s get together! RSI Elementary Leadership Assembly – September

Outside the Box – Christy Johnson

RSI’s first Elementary Leadership Assembly was a success! Students had such a fun time hearing from student council and learning about new opportunities at the school. Staff and students set aside some time to celebrate many current and summer birthdays. Also, some of the RSI club members took the opportunity to introduce their clubs to the school to their friends.  RSI is looking forward to one assembly each month to celebrate each other and the seven habits in our lives! RSI is all about being prepared!

Outside the Box – Christy Johnson

Preparedness is one of the keys to staying safe! The administration and teachers at the Renascence School International are doing everything they can to ensure the safety of their students in case of the event of an earthquake or fire.

RSI participated in the nationwide earthquake safety drill on Oct. 18th and a fire safety drill on Oct. 11th. The teachers were able to practice the emergency procedures that they have been trained to perform, while remaining calm and setting a good example for the students. The students did a great job of following directions while remaining calm and listening to their teachers. When all parties were cleared, the teachers brought all students to the safe zone. The drills were successful and both teachers and students are now better prepared for different types of emergency situations. Read More
