Renascence School February Assembly

RSI February Assembly welcomed special guest speaker Dr. Lee. RSI would like to thank him for sharing with us his expertise on hygiene. He wrote a rhyming song for the event that he taught to all of the kids. Also, students showed off the posters that they made for Kindness Week, and C9 performed an original song, “C9’s Back Alright”, written specifically about leadership for the assembly. A very special Renascence School assembly

At the beginning of October RSI students and staff enjoyed an extra special school assembly. There was a surprise announcement, revealing the gender of elementary Spanish teacher Sra. Sanz’ new baby! This surprise was not only for everyone at the school but for her husband as well! RSI was honored to be a part of this special celebration! October birthdays were celebrated and there was a special appearance by RSI School mascot Renny the Tiger, which definitely got the kids pumped up and the school spirit flowing!

RSI Students Excel at the Good Talk – Chinese Language Competition

RSI students participated in speech qualifier competition in Feb 2019. Many of them were invited to participate in the GoodTalk Competition in July 2019.The organizer, Confucius Institute, paired a US student learning Chinese with a Chinese student learning English. The pair competed together as a team. RSI student Kahlen, won first place! What an achievement!
What an honor for RSI student Henry, who was asked to MC the event! RSI is so proud of both of them. What a wonderful experience for all the Renascence School International students who competed at this prestigious event. Read More

RSI Student takes 1st Place in Prestigious Chinese Bridge Competition!

Jayden Thi, a Renascence School International 2nd grade student took 1st place at the 2019 Chinese Bridge Chinese Language Proficiency Competition. This prestigious competition is held yearly and hosted by Confucius Institute at San Diego State University. The competition is open to students in grades 2-12 who are non-native Chinese speakers within the service areas of the Los Angeles Chinese Consulate General, including Southern California, Arizona, Hawaii, New Mexico and American Pacific islands. RSI Open House – March 13, 2019 – Join us!

coverThe Renascence School International  will be having an Open House on Wednesday, March 13, 2019  from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. The Open House is an opportunity for families to visit the classrooms, talk to teachers, view student work, and enjoy student demonstrations.  Students are encouraged to attend and tour the classrooms with their parents. No child care will be provided during the event. The teachers and students are eager to demonstrate what they have been learning and working hard on this year! Read More
