Outside the Box – Nicole Kelly
In Chinese language classes, students and teachers celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as Moon Festival. Teachers shared the Moon Festival story and moon cakes with their students. During the Moon Festival, people celebrate three fundamental concepts that are closely connected: Gathering, thanksgiving and praying.
Students colored the picture of moon cakes, some classes made and decorated their own lanterns, and everyone enjoyed eating moon cakes together.
