Outside the Box – Nicole Kelly
We were thrilled to welcome RSI parents back on campus for RSI’s Back to School Night these last two weeks. Parents had a chance to meet their students’ teachers in person and connect with grade-level families. It was exciting for our parents and teachers as some had just met for the first time! Teachers gave presentations and streamed a virtual Back to School Night via Zoom from their classrooms to give parents a glimpse into their students’ daily lives. Since parents are not allowed on campus, this was one way they can see what the daily lives of their students look like on campus. For some of our classes, this was a great night as it was the first time they have had an on-campus Back to School Night in two years! Teachers introduced themselves and shared their syllabus for the year. They went over classroom goals and expectations, and they also shared some fun facts about themselves as parents go to explore their student’s classrooms and the campus. It was wonderful to see so many new and returning families getting together and making connections.
RSI teachers were celebrated after a long two weeks of prepping for Back to School Night. RSI Admin walked around campus with special treats for staff giving them praise and a huge round of applause. We are so grateful for all of our hardworking staff from Preschool to High School. Thank you, Teachers!
